Staff Software Engineer - Developer Experience

As a Staff Software Engineer in Developer Experience at Marqeta, you will have the opportunity to shape, transform, and create an exceptional experience for engineers. You will identify, develop, and lead strategic investments to accelerate development iterations, enhance productivity, and promote developer happiness. In this role, you will boost developers' productivity through the successful adoption of streamlined SDLC tools and services, AI-driven tools, and drive engagement across Marqeta engineering. You will oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and craft of team projects, ensuring solutions are highly relevant to developer productivity and happiness. You will promote a data-driven culture, use objective measurements to guide project execution, and articulate your vision and strategy in clear, comprehensible narratives. This involves building relationships across Engineering, conducting DevEx surveys, using developer feedback to build roadmaps, and mentoring engineers to promote productivity. The role requires driving both tactical and strategic roadmaps for Marqeta Engineering, establishing a data-driven engineering culture, and delivering tools and services that enhance the developer experience across the organization.
